HOLYOAKE CEO BEN SMITH RECOGNISED AT BUSINESS NEWS 40u40 AWARDS
Holyoake is proud to celebrate Chief Executive Officer Ben Smith, who was recognised at the Business News 40under40 Awards on Friday night, taking out both a 40under40 Award and the Community, Social Enterprise or Not for Profit Category Award. He was also named a finalist in the prestigious First Amongst Equals category, which recognises the highest-performing leader across all award categories.
The Business News 40under40 Awards are among Western Australia’s leading business accolades, recognising exceptional young leaders for their impact, leadership and contribution to the State’s economy and community.
Ben’s recognition reflects a diverse career spanning global consumer brands and purpose-driven organisations, combined with a commitment to people-centred leadership.
Before joining Holyoake, Ben served as Managing Director of global reusable’s brand frank green, leading the company through a period of significant international growth, brand expansion and operational scale. He has also held senior executive roles with other high-profile international brands 2XU and Poppy Lissiman, building deep expertise across strategy, operations, people leadership and brand-led growth.
Since commencing as CEO of Holyoake, Ben has focused on strengthening organisational culture, expanding services, and ensuring the organisation is well-positioned to deliver long-term impact for individuals, families and communities across Western Australia.
He said the award was a reflection of his journey and the people who had supported him throughout his career.
“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with talented and inspiring people at every stage of my career, as well as leaders who have backed me, challenged me, and provided deliberate opportunities to grow,”
“While it’s humbling to be recognised individually, these awards belong just as much to those people and the exceptional team at Holyoake. Their commitment, care and professionalism change lives every day, and I’m proud to work alongside people so deeply committed to supporting individuals, families and communities.”
Chair of the Holyoake Board, Deb Morrow, was in attendance and congratulated Ben on the achievement and said the recognition was highly deserved.
“Ben’s leadership combines commercial acumen with deep purpose, and that balance has been instrumental in Holyoake’s continued growth and impact,”
“His ability to bring people together, build strong culture and lead with clarity and integrity is evident across the organisation. On behalf of the Board, I congratulate Ben on this recognition and am proud of the leadership he brings to Holyoake.”
The Community, Social Enterprise or Not for Profit Category Award recognises leaders driving measurable social impact alongside organisational sustainability, while the First Amongst Equals category highlights individuals who stand out across the entire 40u40 cohort.
Holyoake supports this recognition and celebrates the collective efforts of its staff, partners and community in delivering meaningful outcomes across Western Australia.
