Holyoake Welcomes Joni Sercombe to its Board of Directors

Holyoake is delighted to announce the appointment of Joni Sercombe as a new member of its Board of Directors, strengthening the organisation’s leadership in its 50th year of service to the Western Australian community.

A social sector innovator and systems thinker, Joni brings over 25 years of experience in for-purpose, social sector and government roles both in Western Australia and internationally. Her career spans leadership in research and development, partnership building, and strategic foresight, with a strong commitment to collaboration and community-led change.

Most recently, Joni led Anglicare WA’s ShiftLab innovation unit, driving a portfolio of pioneering social design projects across WA. She is currently a Director of Good Together WA, a studio dedicated to imagining and realising better futures, and continues to advise on initiatives spanning social impact, Aboriginal-led development, and regenerative agriculture. Joni also mentors emerging social enterprises through the WA Social Enterprise Social Impact Incubator.

Her academic background includes Bachelor degrees in Social Sciences and Arts, post-graduate studies in Leadership, and as an alumni of the Tower Human Capital C-Suite program.

Reflecting on her appointment, Joni said “I’m delighted to join the Holyoake Board at this exciting time as it celebrates 50 years of service to the WA community. I’m looking forward to shaping its strategic planning in 2026.”

Holyoake Board Chair Deb Morrow welcomed Joni’s appointment, highlighting her alignment with the organisation’s vision and values. “Joni brings a powerful blend of innovation, foresight, and social impact experience that resonates deeply with Holyoake’s approach and our core values. As we celebrate five decades of service, Joni’s leadership will help us continue to evolve in how we support individuals, families, and communities to live the life they choose.”
